Day Trading Attention
Gary Vaynerchuk
Attention is the market now. He's loud about it, and he's not wrong about where things went.
Gary Vaynerchuk has been saying the same thing for years, and this book is his most focused version of it. Attention is the real currency now, it keeps moving between platforms, and the businesses that win are the ones that go to where it is today, not where it was last year.
The title is the method. Treat attention like a trader treats a market. Watch where it's cheap, meaning the platforms where good content still reaches people without paying for it, and move there fast. Make a lot of content, because you can't predict what will work, and let the numbers tell you. He argues that the creative itself, the actual post or video, now matters more than targeting or budget, because platforms decide who sees what based on how people react to it.
It's written the way he talks, fast and loud, and he repeats himself a lot. If you've watched his videos, you know the tone.
It's on the shelf because MintedMile was a small version of this whole book. Daily posts, watching what caught and what didn't, and learning that a line cut in half often lands harder than the full one. He's describing the same lesson at a much bigger scale.
