hackway.vercel.appAn AI copilot for hackathons. Tell it your skills, the theme and how much time you have, and in minutes it gives you well scoped project ideas that are ready to pitch.
Why it exists
The worst hour of any hackathon is the first one: a blank page, and a team arguing about what to build while the clock runs. HackWay is for that hour. You tell it what you can do, what the theme is and how long you have, and it turns that into ideas already sized to fit the time and shaped to impress the judges. It's built for Devpost, MLH and SIH style events, and you don't need to sign up to try it.
How it helps
- 1 · Generate
Get seven well scoped hackathon ideas at once, each sized to your time and skills.
- 2 · Refine
Expand one idea into a plan you can build from: MVP scope, user flows, architecture and tech stack.
- 3 · Pitch
Turn it into a three minute demo script and slides, with the judging criteria mapped out.
How it was built
It's shipping in phases. The foundation and the glass interface came first, then the AI engine that generates and saves ideas. The deeper tools and the public launch are still ahead. Generation runs on the server through Groq's llama 3.3 70b model, so the API key never reaches the browser, and if there's no key the app still runs and tells you so politely. The design is light, with blue and violet shapes drifting behind frosted glass, and I built every component by hand without a UI library.

Verdict
It's live and still growing, my second real startup attempt after Notrik. The idea engine works today, and the refine and pitch tools are next. I'm building it for the version of me who used to lose the first hour of every hackathon.
